ORESTES VILATO, TIMBALES

Orestes Vilato is one of the world's top timbaleros. With over 300 recordings and performances with artists such as Celia Cruz, Cal Tjader and the Machete Ensemble, he is a real standout. You might even seeing him jamming with a local band at Jelly's.

REBECCA MAULEON, PIANO AND VOCALS

Rebecca Mauleon, pianist, composer and teacher is another Bay Area treasure. Her book, The Salsa Guidebook" is a great reference and her CD "Round Trip" debuted last year to critical acclaim.

JOHN SANTOS, FRANCISCO AGUABELLA, GIOVANI HIDALGO, BATA DRUMS

John Santos is a leading expert on Afro-Latin music. He is the current director of the Machete Ensemble, a Bay Area band.
Francisco Aguabella has been keeping the Cuban drumming tradition alive since he was introduced to the US public by Chano Pozo.

Giovanni Hidalgo is a gifted performer and sought after expert on percussion. His instructional video on conga drumming is a great resource for musicians and Salsa lovers.

Tito Puente Jr. embraces his father's legacy of virtuosity, versatility and passion. His high energy performances keep the audiences coming back for more.

ANTHONY BLEA, VIOLIN

SF native, Anthony Blea has performed with classical orchestras aand charanga bands nationally and internationally. He returned to the Bay Area in the early 90's to form "Charanson", a very popular charanga band.

DAVE VALENTINE, FLUTE

David Valentine, a very popular recording artist, is renowned for his blend of Latin jazz, Funk,Pop and World Music into a unique sound.

JIMMY BOSCH + PAPO VASQUEZ, TROMBONES

Jimmy Bosch plays an explosive brand of music called "Salsa Dura" ( hard salsa) straight from the heart of Brooklyn, NY.

Papo Vasquez, performer and composer, has performed widely with Eddie Palmieri and Conjunto Libre and is a sought after trombonist.

ORLANDO TORRIENTES + BARBARA VALLADARES, VOCALS

Orlando's clear, soulful sound can be heard with numerous Bay Area bands such as Charanson and Mazacote.

Barbara Valladares has had a long, successful career as a Latin Music vocalist.
