Wow! The fastest selling dance cruise in our history. This one took me completely off guard. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a great cruise, on a great boat, but compared to our last cruise to South America, or the cruise before that, through the Panama Canal, going to the Caribbean is a walk in the proverbial park.

It's a cruise we've done almost every year for quite some time! We've never sold out any dance cruise this quickly. The boat itself is quite spectacular, perhaps the nicest (and biggest) we've ever gone on, and I'm certain that played a factor (along with Disney World – joking), but I think the greatest factor is our economy (or at least people's perception of it).

I think it is!

The stellar SalsaCrazy Halloween party was really amazing. After 10 years of the largest parties in San Francisco, this one took me by surprise. It was just so darn fun! Perhaps it was my amazing costume, that somehow, just really fit me. I was completely in character the whole night, and almost entirely unrecognizable (until I started salsa dancing of course).

Pretty funny eh? Yep, I thought so … Great fun. 3500 people. Great energy. Another spectacular, unparalleled San Francisco event.

Coming up soon – we have our more modest, yet enormously fun, Salsa Saturdays grand opening at Rockit Room. That's just next week, and will be the start of another fantastic event (fun) event for San Francisco salseras (and salseros too).  Massive lessons, phenomenal music, the best Bay Area dancers, and two floors, as well as a really HOT and fun crowd, has made this venue the largest in San Francisco. But really, it's the fact that the place is run in a very welcoming, classy, and friendly way. The vibe is always fun, plus it's GREAT for beginners!

But with the Holidays upon us, there is SO much more happening, not the least of which is the upcoming announcement of our SalsaCrazy New Years plans. And no, I can't tell you about it just yet, except to say, it sets a new standard for classy, upscale, and beautiful venues, yet leaves out none of the crazyness and fun of New Years. I can't believe how fast yet another year of Salsa Dancing has flown by. It's nearly time for an historic salsa retrospective, perhaps covering the last two decades of salsa, both here in the Bay Area, and abroad. We'll save that for another day. I have a party to prepare for …

First off, the Salsa Cruise! Exciting … Our next cruise is approaching fast, and this salsa cruise is huge. It's our biggest dance cruise yet, and it's 9 days to South America, leaving out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and even has a layover of a day in Buenos Aires.

And yes, I know, a lot have asked for another Caribbean cruise! We're on it, and expect our next cruise to sail (after this one) in September of 2011. Details may be coming shortly!

As for Hawaii, this is huge. There's not a person reading this whom shouldn't be planning to join us in Hawaii (that's a double negative – yikes). To put it simply, you should be coming on this incredible dance vacation. This vacation is for you, it's cheap, and it's fun, and it's … well … it's in Hawaii!

Really, this is a great vacation, and highly recommended. It will give you a chance to try out your brand new salsa shoes, but really, who wears salsa shoes on a beach (or by the pool for that matter). Great music and great social dancing highlight this event, year after year.
