Thursday after noon and there has been a decided change in the energy here. No more fooling around, everyone has one chance and one chance only to show they belong in the finals.
Albert’s afternoon meeting had a packed room of 300 competitors from everywhere on the globe.
He announced the people who qualified last night, and then announced who would be competing on Thursday and who would be up on Friday. Below are pictures of the list of who performs tonight and in which order.
For the Bay Area, its RicaSalsa (pictured below and ready to rumble) and John and Liz.
Albert also announced they will be enforcing the 3 country rule for the finals – that is, only the top 3 for any given country can make it into the finals. While he said this was to ensure fairness, I find that a little obscure. The reality is, the only countries that can affect here are Colombia and the U.S. Whether it has any real-world application remains to be seen.
