How Dance Videos Can Teach You How To Dance Salsa
The digital world has made many things
possible in and around the internet, almost everything is
available online and almost anything can be learned through the
World Wide Web. This includes instructional videos. Instructions
are available on anything from building bird houses to creating
your own mini Lego Empire. And yes, even instructions on how to
dance the Salsa. Websites offer instructional videos on learning
the Salsa and many other dances in less than an hour. These
videos offer step by step instructions as well as authentic
Salsa music and salsa techniques.
Salsa is a complex but enjoyable Latin dance
that involves a lot of footwork, spins and turns. Salsa has its
own unique music and most of the dancing in salsa is based on
the beats and melodies to create the rhythm in the dance. It is
important not only to see and hear what you're doing but also to
feel the music and the dancing around you. Salsa is a very fast
moving and passionate dance. There is a lot of coordination
involved not only with the music but also with your partner.
Instructional videos have been around long
before youtube.com or the internet. Tapes were made available to
be played on the VCR. Nowadays, these videos are found online.
As short as two minute videos can be seen and made available to
the public on a multitude of subjects. Instructional videos on
dance are very helpful since you can see the movements and hear
the movements while getting step by step instructions from
expert teachers. These videos also have Salsa music which is
important when learning beat dances like the salsa.
Salsa is a sexy unique dance and it has a lot
of specific steps and basic movements but it is very open to
improvisation. Instructional videos help with learning how to
feel the music and create your own dance within the salsa
system. Along with that, the video can show you the many ways
you can improvise by showing dances by other people and how it
works with the music and with your dance partner. Learning to
dance through video is also much easier because the person can
pause the video if it gets too fast and replay certain steps
which he or she did not understand. Also the videos can be used
by a single person or by a couple trying to learn the Salsa.
With the technology available today, it's not impossible to
think that you can learn and enjoy the salsa in the comfort of
your own home and be out burning up the dance floor within
hours.
