Salsa Dance Club
Overview:Tuesday
night is The Glas Kat night if you’re a salsa addict in
San Francisco.Located in a fashionable
district across the street from a newly built luxury
condo complex, it’s a Japanese restaurant with great
food and a popular night club in one. Comfortable and
inviting, it has a lounge area with a smoking room and a
bar where you can take a break and relax on soft couches
and chairs.
A large
restaurant upstairs is glassed in to let you dine in
peace and watch the action below. An observation balcony with
ample seating, VIP section with tables open to all and a
DJ booth complete the dance area.Easy free parking (big
lot across the street), great dance floor, tasty Sushi
Bar, live bands, reasonably priced drinks, free water,
many specials and the list goes on! The
club’s salsa promoter, our “Little Lady, the priestess
of salsa” Diana Bowen was honored by the salsa community
for her tireless contributions to the Bay Area salsa
scene over many years.
A resident
promoter at Café Cocomo at first, she continues her work
at The Glas Kat and makes it just as successful.Friendly
to dancers, the club hosts many troupe performances,
