You are in for a real treat this coming weekend with April and
Juan in town for three days of workshops (Nov 16-18). No it's not a typo, April
is coming with Juan Matos, widely recognized as one of New York's finest dancers
not to mention one of its most entertaining instructors. Here's a bit of
relevant background for those who don't know them. Both April and Juan were
cast members in "Latin Madness", the recent off Broadway dance
musical/collaboration among New York's best dance companies. April was part of Descarga Latina and Juan as part of Santo Rico:

April is just back from a performing tour to London and Oslo with Santo Rico
(known for their technical precision, fast turns and challenging choreography):

April has been teaching in the Boston-New York area for several years. She's
performed with Descarga Latina, Santo Rico, Razz m'Tazz, and in the recent Fania
concert at Madison Square Garden. Juan is now with Abakua Dancers under the
direction of Frankie Martinez. Prior to that he was a long time Santo Rico
dancer and one of its lead instructors. Whether you are a recent or long time
on-2 dancer, you owe it to your dance development to take advantage of April and
Juan's visit to the Bay Area. It's a rare treat for NY dancers/instructors of
their caliber to be in town. Their workshop schedule and other details can be
found at:
